Tina Tang-Clark – Registered Migration Agent

Tina was born in Yunnan Province, China and migrated to Australia in 2004. Tina has worked in the migration industry since 2004 and became Registered Migration Agent in 2012. Tina has helped and assisted clients of many nationalities to migrate to Australia, she is experienced Migration Agent in ENS/RSMS, 457 visa applications, Business Skills Migration and Family Migration Scheme and she is also an art lover embracing cultural richness and speaking various languages.

TaiLan LU – Retired Doctor

Ms Lu had worked as Doctor for more than 30 years in Yunnan Province, China. She also is part time Dress Maker enjoying hand-made embroideries. In the last 8 years, she has busily traveled between China and Perth Australia, she loves beautiful beaches and parks in Perth.

Ray Clark – Service Manager/Truck Driver

Ray was based in Thailand having worked for BPI/Sandvik as Service Manager and various overseas companies for more than 15 years, he was in charge of after- sale service for Philippines, Tai Wan, Indonesian & Chinese market and had heavily traveled around these regions during the period which enables Ray to deeply understand and appreciate local cultural and customs of these regions.

Robert Whitehead - Naturopath

Robert Whitehead

Born on the East Coast of Australia, Robert had two qualifications when he left Sydney for Adventure at the age of 25, Agriculture and Commerce & Accounting.

Robert has worked in rural Albany & Kununurra. Went on to Media in farm broadcasting in Radio and TV. Then onto journalism with the West Australian, in Perth, prior to more adventures in broadcasting in Papua New Guinea and Hong Kong in 1972.

He has traveled & worked overseas. Robert then morphed into Real Estate for twenty years back in Perth. Then, after tinkering around the edges of natural medicine, in 2008, Robert enrolled to formally study the discipline with Advanced Diplomas of Naturopathy, Western Herbal Medicine and Nutritional Medicine. I come from Jakarta, the capital city of Indonesia. I have been living in Perth for about three years. I am a PhD research student at Curtin University, Western Australia. Back in my country, I am a government officer working for the Ministry of Finance.

Kristian Agung Prasetyo
I was born on Christmas day in 1974 in Madiun. After leaving a TAFE-level education in 1996, I worked at the Indonesian tax office for more than a decade. I left the tax office in late 2012 to become a tax trainer. I did my undergraduate degree in management at Gadjah Mada University in Yogyakarta and a master's degree in taxation at Curtin. Now, I am doing a PhD, still in taxation, at Curtin also.

Frederika Niken

I was born in Central Java and have been living in Papua since 2005. I am studying master of sustainable aquaculture in Curtin University. I work for Ministry of Marine and Fisheries Affair in Papua. I have learnt Papuan dancing and have attended cultural festivals in Papua. I love Papuan music, food and dance. The Papuan cultures and traditions just make me love Papuan people and the land!

The Philippines

The program on the Philippines' history, culture and migration was presented by Cecilia Conception, Ruth Lopez and Professor Michael Pinches 8 May 2016.

The program on Kenya, its history, culture and migration was presented by Eva Mwakichako, Anne Tonje, Cecilia Morris and Ivy Kihara 1 May 2016.

The program on the history of the Chung Wah Association in Perth was presented by Kaylene Poon and Dr Yit Seng Yow.

The music was organised by Soi Har Yow 10 April 2016.

The Chung Wah Association established in 1909 is one of the oldest associations in Perth.

Maria Bunn

Outstanding Service to Multiculturalism Award

2016 Maria Bunn

Maria Bunn, from Hillarys, has been committed to working with the CaLD sector for more than 30 years. With a focus on aged care, Maria has been instrumental in developing partnerships between aged care providers and CaLD communities, establishing 18 clusters in residential care facilities to support older people from CaLD backgrounds. Maria wrote the Multicultural Aged Care Handbook to support care providers, which has now sold more than 800 copies. She has also coordinated the ‘Let me speak’ project initiative of the Ethnic Disabilities Advocacy Centre and Headwest to support CaLD people with disability and acquired brain injury.
